Additionally, the 2024 Honda Civic comes in a hatchback body style that has four trims: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Sport Touring. The LX and Sport have the same powertrain as the non-hatchback LX and Sport while the EX-L and Sport Touring come in with the same powertrain as the non-hatchback EX and Touring. There are also two, more powerful trim options for the 2024 Honda Civic. These are the SI and the Type R. The SI is a non-hatchback that comes with a 1.5 liter in-line turbocharged four cylinder engine that produces 200 horsepower and 192 pound feet of torque which equates to 27 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway. This engine is connected to an exciting six-speed manual transmission. The 2023 Honda Civic Type R is the most powerful of the available Honda Civics. This trim comes with a 2.0 liter in-line turbocharged and intercooled four cylinder engine that produces 315 horsepower and 310 pound feet of torque which equates to a still impressive 22 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway. This engine is also connected to a six-speed manual transmission and comes only in FWD.
